PPS, also called Polyphenylenesulphide, is a kind of thermoplastic special engineering plastics with excellent comprehensive properties. It has outstanding characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and superior mechanical performance.
PPS useful for excellent thermal properties. It can maintain high mechanical performance and dimensional stability under long-term work and thermal load. The utility model is suitable for working under the environment of high temperature.
PPS has excellent chemical resistance and good chemical stability. At present, it has not been found that solvent for dissolving polyphenylene sulfide at 200 DEG C can not be eroded by most acid base salts, and has strong resistance to inorganic acids, alkalis and salts. PPS and general organic solvent contact, no plastic parts cracking phenomenon.
The dielectric constant of PPS is very small, dielectric loss is rather low, surface resistivity and volume resistivity are insensitive to the change of frequency, temperature and humidity. It is a good electrical insulating material, and its arc resistance time is longer.
The chemical structure of PPS is quite stable and contains flame retardant element sulfur, so PPS has excellent flame resistance. Pure PPS can be passed UL-94 V0 grade when the thickness is 0.8mm. Basically, in addition to a small number of grades, such as the ultra tough series, the UL94 flammability of all grades of PPS is V-0, and has been the best in the flammability of UL 94.
